Giant Kites Fly For Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1 in Mexico and other Meso-American cultures.
Since ancient Mayan times Guatemalans have created beautiful kites to fly in the local cemeteries with messages for dead loved ones attached to them. It is said that the higher the kite is in the sky, the closer the message is to the spirits of those in heaven.
