I Met the Walrus

In 1969 John Lennon and Yoko Ono were  in Toronto doing a bed-in as part of the their  peace campaign. A 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview. This is the film of that moment in time, produced by the adult Levitan in 2007.

I do believe it was in Montreal, not Toronto... at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, in 1969.
They did another bed-in (akin to a 'sit-in') in the Hilton Hotel in Amersterdam.
And yet, here we are... so very very tragic.
