Blossoms Shanghai, a television series by Hong Kong film director Wong Kar-wai, tells the story of a Ah Bao, a young opportunist trying to strike it rich during Shanghai’s economic boom in the 1990s. The show recalls a time of hope and it has sparked a wave of nostalgia that has been drawing droves of people to locations where the series was shot. A temporary traffic light has been installed to control the crowds and vehicles that have come to visit iconic scenes from the show.
