At 58 letters, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch is the longest town name in all of Europe. It wasn't always the town's name, though.
My mother was born in Wales and her mother used to sing me Welsh songs when I was little. I can vouch for the fact that the Welsh language is a real mouthful.
