A Coffee Table Fit For Caligula
Once part of the dance floor on one of Roman Emperor Caligula’s pleasure ships, a marble mosaic was recovered from the depths of Lake Nemi in the 1930s, only to disappear again. It resurfaced in 2013 as a coffee table in a Manhattan apartment.
