Adrian Fisher has devoted the past four decades to bringing back mazes, long regarded as historical curiosities.


The Blenheim Palace maze (above), which Adrian Fisher co-designed in the eighties, is now featured on Britain’s five-pound note.

  1. I just read the New Yorker article this morning. It has wonderful photos and is also quite entertaining because Fisher, whose talent is indisputable, is also comically annoying. Highly recommend.

  4. I guess that's why people are drawn to them. Like rollercoasters but without the screaming.
