Twenty murals of climate-threatened birds have been painted on storefronts, building facades, window panels, and retractable security grates surrounding the old neighborhood of John James Audubon. The number of species depicted reflects a
report highlighting 314 birds most threatened by climate change. The list of artists includes Gaia, Iena Cruz, Hitnes, Lunar New Year, and many others.
It is hoped that people will take the opportunity to learn more about this existential threat to birds, and about how they can take action to help head it off.
