Les Eyzies de Taynac is a town in the commune of Dordogne in southwestern France that is famous for its grottos, caves and troglodyte dwellings. The prehistoric caves contain some of the most significant archaeological finds of the Upper Paleolithic (from about 40,000 to 10,000 years ago) and Middle Paleolithic (200,000 to 40,000 years ago) periods and were collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town itself looks like it being crushed by a huge rock.
