Scandalous Women in British History

If you've already read The Daily Mail but have not had your surfeit of scandal you might want to take a look at The Telegraph's slidehow of some of Britain's most notorious women (because we all know that no one wants to read about the adventures of Miss Goody Two Shoes). Some, like Emmeline Pankhurst and Wallis Simpson, I was already familiar with. Others, like the lovely Duchess of Argyll pictured below, were new to me.

In 1963, during the divorce proceedings of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, scandalous pictures emerged of the Duchess showing her naked except for her signature pearl necklace, and performing sex acts on a mysterious man.
