Vietnam War POW blinks “Torture” in Morse code during an interview

Jeremiah Denton who in a 1966 interview, while captive, was compelled to say that conditions for American soldiers were good.

But while saying audibly that everything was fine, he blinked a message in Morse code: “T-O-R-T-U-R-E.”

And there was the Pueblo case in North Korea. The group had pictures taken where they all had raised middle fingers. When the Koreans asked they said it was a Good Luck sign.
Recently there was the case of the three American hikers seized in Iran. The young woman was let go first; she gave a speech thanking Ahmajinedad and others for their kind treatment. She did so knowing that many who saw the speech would say "stockholm syndrome" or accuse her of whatever. Instead, she was lauded by Iranian refugees who understood perfectly what was going on.
