Today we visited three of the villas near Mira on the Brenta River. Many of these architectural monuments are scattered about the Veneto, lots of them are now in ruins. We toured Villa Barchessa and Villa Widmann and visited the garden of Villa Farsetti. We were the only visitors at all three which is the best way to see these buildings. They are not the greatest examples of the genre but are close to Noale where we're staying. They have a haunted feel about them; I wouldn't choose to spend a night alone in any of them. We broke it up with a big feed of fish at Trattoria Nalin in Mira.
