Reclaimed Whisky Barrel Flooring

It’s a whisky lover’s dream — wooden flooring in your home made from the casks of the national drink. McKay Flooring in Glasgow has come up with a method of making floorboards from old oak whisky barrels.

    About US$30 per square ft, plus shipping from Scotland, and installation? Little steep, I could buy a lot of Whisky with that.

    I wonder if wine barrels would do. We have a lot of them here in Niagara. I'd have to figure out how to lay them straight so I wouldn't feel like I was on a roller coaster.
