    I don't want to seem indelicate but did he die of cancer of the spleen? My flattie died of that last year.

  16. Yes he did. I knew nothing about the breed until we rescued Max when he was 3 years old. I've since learned that as many as 75% of the breed die of spleen cancer at a young age. Awful stuff. Sorry about your dog. They are wonderful creatures.
