Very sorry to hear that. Soon to lose my own. Hope you are well.
Such sad news!I'm so sorry, Marilyn. It's always hard to lose a companion a family member, like that. I feel for you.
It's been hard. Good luck to you.
Thanks John. You're a good friend. It's left a hole in my life
I didn't know Max but he sounds like he was a lovely dog. I 'm sorry for your loss.
Thanks Diane. Your comments are always so kind. This is a sad day for us but we will move on.
What a beautiful animal. My condolences.
I am so sorry. How sad.
aaaw... I'm so sorry... : (
I am sorry for your loss, Marilyn. That is a lovely photograph. He must have been a good friend.
Oh, so sorry. :-(
Thanks, my friends. Your kind words mean a whole lot to me.
Your dog was So handsome. What breed was he?
Max was a flat coated retriever - a very large one.
I don't want to seem indelicate but did he die of cancer of the spleen? My flattie died of that last year.
Yes he did. I knew nothing about the breed until we rescued Max when he was 3 years old. I've since learned that as many as 75% of the breed die of spleen cancer at a young age. Awful stuff. Sorry about your dog. They are wonderful creatures.
