Images and Simulations by the Inouye Solar Telescope
This video demonstrates the high detail obtained by the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope in Hawaii. It is the highest-resolution image of the sun ever captured.
“The feat is equivalent to seeing ants crawling on Earth’s surface from an altitude of 100 miles” says Friedrich Wöger, a solar physicist at the National Solar Observatory, and study co-author.
