The traffic has started flowing between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan on the new Gordie Howe Bridge. It is the first new crossing between Ontario and Michigan in over 60 years. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America and features a multi-use path for pedestrians and cyclists. I’m looking forward to seeing it when I visit my son and his wife in Windsor.
It's an absolute structural wonder, iyam.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and I’m happy to see it open despite the open bribery of the Moroun crime family and Trump reneging on the original terms of the deal. It’s great news for people on both sides of the border.
ReplyDeleteCanada paid for the bridge; it is now involved in an imbroglio over tolls splitting.
ReplyDeleteYes. The US apparently changed the terms of the original agreement. They are currently a very unreliable trading partner.
