The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva performed at the 2009 Deaflympics

The Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism and represents the Buddha’s great compassion. What makes this performance by the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe (CDPPAT) even more exceptional is that the twenty-one dancers are deaf and mute and cannot hear the music.
