The Fort Erie, Canada - Buffalo, USA border crossing is confusing. This NYT article is about Americans mistakingly entering Canada. It happens on both sides of the border. I have twice entered the US by mistake from Canada at this crossing. When I immediately returned the Canadian border guards waved me through because it happens all the time.
