Decades ago I read
Penelope Fitzgerald's Offshore (1979), a Booker Prize winner focusing on eclectic characters living on houseboats on the Thames in the 1960s. It intrigued me and whenever I visited London I would take walks through Little Venice and other houseboat communities. I even dreamed of buying a houseboat of my own but I put the dream on the back burner for too long. This video reminds me of what drew me to the lifestyle.
