The Unbroken Seal on King Tutankhamun's Tomb, 1922

Before Howard Carter broke the seal on King Tut's tomb in 1922, it was intact, undisturbed for over 3,200 years. The seal consisted of a knotted cord and a clay stamp bearing the image of the jackal god Anubis, guardian of the necropolis.
