An Abandoned Island With A Story to Tell

Hashima Island was once a busy city, but now it’s an empty ruin. It is one of 505 uninhabited islands in Nagasaki Prefecture. In 1959, with 83,476 inhabitants per km², one of the highest population densities ever recorded in the world was recorded.
