This 1990s letter from fellow folk singer, Pete Seeger addresses Dylan's famous decision to play electric guitar at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Seeger was rumoured to have called for an axe to cut Dylan's cables and this caused a brouhaha in the folk world. In this letter he explains that he actually liked Dylan’s electrified version of ‘Maggie’s Farm’ and that the cause of his dismay was the lousy sound system.
IMHO, Seeger is almost certainly full of it, but I guess this is as close to an apology as Dylan was ever going to receive, so it's something at least.
