Samurai Armour-Inspired Randoseru



Randoseru are sturdy backpacks used by Japanese schoolchildren that are are meant to last a lifetime. Noriki Okada, who works for a randoseru manufacturer, wanted to make a backpack that would make children feel strong and brave. Inspired by the historic armour worn by samurai warriors, he made this one from scrap parts discarded from the production process.


Available for purchase on the company website for 500,000 yen (about $3300 usd).
