Coventry Cathedral |
During World War II air raids destroyed much of Coventry, including all but the spires of St. Michael’s Cathedral and the Grey Friars’ Church. 50,479 houses were damaged. Rebuilding of the town centre began at the end of the war.
The printmaker and illustrator Paul Catheral’s current exhibition ‘Sent from Coventry’ is a collection of linocuts that highlight the groundbreaking post-war buildings which were set to define Coventry as a “city of the future.”
