This Massachusetts women-led creative group worked together from 1941-69, using pattern design to express their distinct views. Virginia Lee Burton devised a design course which she offered to her friends and neighbours in the Folly Cove neighbourhood. The group produced more than 300 distinct designs conveying personal narratives using design principles taught to them by Virginia.
