Startling Stories was an American pulp science fiction magazine, published from 1939 to 1955 by publisher Ned Pines’ Standard Magazines. The target audience was younger readers and featured space operas and fantastical fiction. The cover art by Earle K. Bergey portrayed heroines with metallic bras and skimpy costumes.
