The Sand Dance



Vaudeville act Wilson and Kepple perform their famous sand dance at the London Palladium in 1934 when ancient Egyptian imagery was all the rage.

    This video sparked my curiosity and looking them up discovered the were joined by American Betty Knox who quit in 1941 to be a war corespondent and was replaced by her daughter.
    The pictures at https://jannaludlow.co.uk/Entertainment/WKB.html show how their bodies changed as they aged.
