Casimir Brescó in the village of Alentorn, Spain |
The best handmade pitchforks are made from lledoner branches from Alentorn in Spain. It takes more than six years from the time the hackberry shoots began to be oriented until the pitchfork is ready for field work. In 1997, Casimir Brescó, at 76, was the last active forcaire left in his village.
