Medieval Pattern Poems of Rabanus Maurus (9th Century)

De laudibus sanctae crucis (image above) is a ninth-century manuscript by the Frankish Benedictine monk Rabanus Maurus, that you might mistake for a word search or even a medieval knitting pattern. But these images are actually parts of a devotional poem. (via Perfect for Roquefort Cheese)

This shit wouldn't fly in America.

I really enjoyed The Bad Thing, a comic by Maisie Cowell about a dog who feels morally conflicted over killing birds.

I admit I didn't notice that Red River cereal had been discontinued but I am glad to hear that Arva, a Canadian flour mill, has responded to the demand and is producing the iconic cereal at the oldest water-powered flour mill in North America. (I ordered some today for Mr. Nag)

25 Quirky Hotels in London We've stayed at the Andaz Liverpool Station (once) and Leman Locke (twice). I liked both but didn't find them particularly quirky. We've also had lunch at the Fox and Anchor, a lovely pub, but didn't stay there.

Red River? Breakfast to have to pay attention to create, as in awake? No way.
As for taking Carmen everywhere, you'd tire of that damn quick when you realized you have to take water and litter everywhere too. LoL

    1. I think Red River cereal resembles birdseed but Mr. Nag likes it. He mixes it with regular oatmeal.
