Titanic Survivors Interviews from 1956 & 1970

In a 1979 interview Frank Prentice, an assistant purser on the Titanic, describes his incredible experience. He actually went down with the ship and was in the freezing water. By pure luck a lifeboat that had room for him passed by him and pulled him on board.

OK the women were interviewed in 1956, 44 years after. They seemed to remember pretty well but I got the impression they were remembering things they didn't want to say. Like they were mentally editing their thoughts.
But in 1956 women that age were all about decorum, not appearing as flighty or gushing, but restrained and proper.
I remember my mother (born in 1919) siting at the table with me, my wife, brother and father, after a couple drinks got agitated said the F word. Even my father near fell off his chair.
