The Armagh Rhymers are a celebrated traditional Irish music and theatre ensemble. In this video they recreate the wren boys, young people who donned traditional disguises and went from house to house, entertaining their neighbours.
Newfoundland's mummers are Canada's version of the wren boys. After a gruesome axe murder mummering was outlawed in the province for decades but has been making a resurgence (sans murder I hope).
