The Sugar Lab in East Los Angeles is the world's first true digital bakery, run by a small team of rogue chefs, architects-turned-designers, and tech geeks. Their 3D printed Halloween treats include Day of the Dead sugar skulls (above). Drop one into a cocktail and watch the colour change as a mirage of glitter sparkles from the swirl.

For those of you who are filthy rich and want to live like royalty: A 17th century Kew Palace lookalike in West Sussex is on the market.

I enjoy 4K city walking tours. This one takes us through some lovely shopping streets in Kyoto, Japan from Hokanji Temple to Kyomizu Temple. (Watch full screen)

The Pilot Who Was Sucked Out of Plane for Twenty Minutes at 23,000ft and Survived  I bet those were the longest twenty minutes of this life.

This is how you fix potholes.

The Fenland bog oak table: In 2012 farmers discovered a prehistoric oak preserved for 5,000 years in a Cambridgeshire peat bog. The trunk was 44 feet long and weighed five tons. After ten years it is now a massive table set in Ely Cathedral which was built on drained fens, the same environment that saved the oak for so long. (via Miss Cellania)

Just in time for Halloween: Jane Asher's Costume Book. Jane is a British actress and writer but is perhaps best remembered in North America as Paul McCartney's girlfriend in the early 60s. (via Perfect for Roquefort Cheese)
