This documentary from Wandering Eye tells the story of Brendon Grimshaw who bought the tiny deserted Moyenne Island in the Seychelles for £8,000 in 1962. Over the years he turned this abandoned piece of land into a paradise with some help from his friend Rene Lafortune. He brought birds and endangered tortoises to the island, planted 16 thousand trees and built almost 5 kilometers of paths. He lived there, mostly on his own, until his death in 2012. Moyenne Island became the world’s smallest national park. (Full video below)
