That's lovely. I didn't know about that one. I had a K and A McGarrigle period myself, which also included The Roches --similar voices. I was just singing to myself while working today, their (The Roches) /Largest Elizabeth In The World/. And two weeks ago Holly Tannen, a Mendocino folklorist and songwriter, rewrote the McGarrigles' /Talk To Me Of Mendocino/ and wowed the local listserv. Also I liked and like Louden Wainwright III, who made a baby with one of them, didn't he? who grew up to be a famous singer too. Genes.
Louden had 2 children with Kate: Rufus and Martha (both who have musical careers of their own). He also had a daughter,Lucy ,with Suzzy Roche. Are you familiar with The McGarrigle Hour album? Very old-timey and features Kate and Anna, their families and a host of others. I think you might like it. I do.
