A Baby Chimney Sweeper (1933)

This three year old probably thought it was a lark to accompany his daddy to work  but traditionally chimney sweeps were purchased from their poverty-stricken parents by a master sweep and lived a life that was brutal and short. A bill was passed in September 1875 which put an end to the practice of using children as human chimney sweeps in England. Read more here
