The Woman Who Stared At The Sun
During World War II Tokyo held frequent drills to prepare citizens for airstrikes. When blackouts came, young Hisako Koyama would sneak outside with a star chart to stargaze. In later life she produced one of the most influential solar observation collections in the last 400 years.
