Modernism In Japan, 1912 to 1926

The Japanese Taishō period from 1912-1926 is often considered the first era of modern Japan, when many western influences were introduced. Mechanical reprography was one of many innovations of the period. Higher quality mass printing saw the creation of posters with artistic themes that were uncommon to Japanese tradition.
