The Island of the Colour Blind

With one in ten residents affected by achromatopsia Pingelap, an island in Micronesia, is the most colour-blind place on earth. In the 18th century a typhoon struck the island leaving just 20 survivors. The ruler carried the recessive gene that causes the condition. After a few generations everyone on the island was related to him.
