Major Martin Manhoff spent more than two years in Moscow in the early 1950s as a US army attaché. His post off Red Square gave him an excellent vantage point to capture hundreds of images of everyday life in the U.S.S.R., as well as the only known independent footage of Stalin's funeral procession.
