My research shows that the entire world, apart from Liberia, Myanmar and the United States of America, have officially adopted the metric system. However, I can find no information on whether Antartica uses the obsolete measuring system or has moved into the future with the majority of the world. Perhaps it is only the USA zone of the southernmost land that still uses chains, roods, foots and furlongs. I wonder if any readers could help clarify. Asking for a friend, who also wonders about the sanity of the USA's political and health systems being based on cash.
