In widespread Middle Ages lore there was a fantastical plant that grew a long stalk bearing a life-size lamb. The wooly creature hovered on a highly flexible stalk, which allowed it to bend deeply enough to feed on the grass below. Unfortunately, once the grass around it was depleted, the lamb died. This is one time I wish fake science were true. I would love to have a lamb garden - I would even replenish the grass so the little lamb would not die.
