American Airlines ran this ad in magazines in 1968. They'd never get away with it today. Firstly, the look on this model's face is hardly motherly, in fact it's altogether lascivious. Secondly, anyone flying economy today knows that flight attendants are working in a limited space with time constraints and pampering passengers is simply not possible. They are just trying to make it through their shift without spilling hot coffee on you.
