This McDonnell Douglas DC-10 passenger jet on the road to Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana waits for passengers to embark but it doesn't leave the ground. In 2005 the retired vehicle was repurposed as an eatery named La Tante DC 10, known colloquially as The Green Plane, that serves local food such as tilapia, a spicy fish dish, with banku, a stiff maize porridge as well as international fare. Some of the seats have been removed to make room for dining tables so diners don't have to eat from a tray jammed against the seat in front of them.
