Strands of History in Tahoe City builds functional items, like the bridge table above, using original vertical suspender ropes from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Each rope was created from 229 individual strands at
John A. Roeblin’s Sons Company and held the iconic structure up from 1935 until they were retired about fifty years ago.
