The Wigan Pier Project is a multimedia, interactive journey retracing George Orwell’s famous Road To Wigan Pier. The journey takes us through 14 towns and cities from Birmingham to Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Barnsley, Macclesfield, Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Penkridge, Stourbridge, Coventry and Wolverhampton – staying in the same places and knocking on the same doors Orwell did.
