This Family Takes Gingerbread House Building To The Next Level

Making gingerbread houses at Christmas is a tradition for many families but the Keeling family takes their edible architecture up a notch. About 10 years ago they wanted a change from the modest structures they had built previously and built a ski chalet with a working lift and now try to outdo themselves each year. In 2015 they made a replica of The Shining's Overlook Hotel, including decorated interior rooms and the outdoor maze. And, yes, there was blood! It was mind blowing!

In 2016 they recreated the Bates Hotel from Psycho and in 2017 they made a Gingerbread Christmas Song village. Alas they are travelling this Christmas and are taking a hiatus from construction but promise to be back in 2019 with something even more elaborate.
