The Wanwha Herra aka The Old Gentleman Of Raahe is one of the oldest known diving suits. It is made of cow leather, sewn together with a waxed thread and sealed with pitch. It was sealed with a mixture of pork fat, tar and pitch to make it waterproof. The hood is reinforced with a wooden framework and has an opening for a wooden air pipe.
The Old Gentleman is part of the collection of The Raahe Museum, the oldest museum of cultural history in Finland.
