Each spring shepherds drive their livestock from the Pre-Alpine hills to the plains of Lombardy in Italy, for grazing. Sheep, mules, donkeys, and goats all make their way to the new pasture. The newborn lambs are still too young to make the journey on their own so are carried in a custom made side saddle by the donkeys, and returned to their mothers at feeding time.
