Last year, in a brilliant intersection between art and science, Janelle Shane trained a neural network on 4,500 Halloween costumes that her readers collected. This year, in a
collaboration with the NYT, she trained a different neural network on over 7,100 costumes. Jessia Ma illustrated lots of them.
