A most curious doctor’s bag


One of my favourite bloggers, The Chawed Rosin, had a layover in London recently and had a few of hours to kill. She wanted to go on a bit of a wander but could not find a locker at the station for her luggage. But then she discovered an unlocked closet and thought she might store her bags there. On a dusty shelf she found what appeared to be a doctor’s bag containing all manner of strange deights: an Erlenmeyer flask full of blood; a dissecting kit; a bat skeleton; a rat skull; a locust; a stylized frog’s head; a death certificate; a handwritten list; the interior workings of a music box; a locket; a medallion with Hebrew lettering; a key in the grip of some hemostats; and a brass unicorn.



It sounds like the beginning of a fantasy film, doesn't it? She swears it's true and I believe her.
