The Biggest Waterfall in the World Is Miles Beneath the North Atlantic Ocean

The Denmark Strait cataract is located between Greenland and Iceland. Arctic water from the Greenland Sea drops into the depths of the Irminger Sea, carrying an estimated175 million cubic feet of water per second. That’s equivalent to almost two thousand Niagaras at their peak flow.

It is formed by the temperature differential between the water masses either side of the Denmark Strait, the eastern side being much colder than the western.
